The Book On Series Terms & Conditions

The Book On Series Terms and Conditions

At The Book On Publishing, we’re committed to transparency, respect for your creative work, and a publishing experience that puts authors first. The following outlines the terms and expectations when you submit your manuscript for consideration in The Book On Series.

1. Ownership and Copyright

When you submit your manuscript to us, you’re confirming that it’s your original work and that you hold full rights to publish it. If your book is selected for publication under The Book On Series, you will retain full copyright ownership. You simply grant us a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and promote your work under the series umbrella. This means your rights remain yours, and we’re only using them to bring your book to readers. You also affirm that your manuscript does not violate or infringe on any third-party rights.

2. Submission Review

Once we receive your manuscript, our editorial team will review it carefully—typically within 14 business days. While we aim to offer every author thoughtful consideration, submission does not guarantee acceptance. We reserve the right to decline submissions based on quality, relevance, or whether the manuscript aligns with the mission and standards of The Book On Series. Of course, you’re free to withdraw your submission at any time before signing a publishing agreement.

3. Publishing Agreement

If your manuscript is accepted, we’ll present you with a clear publishing agreement. This document outlines everything you need to know—your rights, royalty structure, and how distribution will work. As part of our free publishing model, there are no fees if your manuscript is complete and ready for publication. We only move forward when both sides are confident and in agreement.

4. Editing and Design

We may suggest edits to enhance clarity, tone, grammar, or formatting. All changes will be collaborative—your approval will always be requested before anything goes to print or digital shelves. As part of our commitment to consistency across the series, we reserve the right to apply standard The Book On branding to your cover and layout, while preserving your unique voice and message.

5. Royalties and Revenue

You will receive royalties from net sales, based on the revenue structures of each sales platform (like Amazon or Apple Books). The Book On Publishing does not take any additional share beyond necessary platform fees and production costs, if applicable. Your exact royalty terms will be clearly detailed in the publishing agreement.

6. Use of Author Information

To help promote your book, we may use your name, author bio, and book description in marketing materials. Rest assured, we will never sell or share your personal information with third parties without your express consent.

7. Revisions and Resubmissions

If your manuscript isn’t accepted right away, that doesn’t mean the door is closed. We may offer editorial feedback and invite you to revise and resubmit. This is entirely up to you—you’re under no obligation to continue unless a publishing contract has been signed.

8. Termination

If at any point after publication you wish to have your book removed from circulation, you may request to terminate your agreement. We ask that you provide your request in writing and allow for a reasonable notice period. Identity verification may be required to process the request and ensure your rights are protected.
